Volkan Demir

Welcome! I am a graduate of Yeditepe University, Istanbul, where I completed B.Sc. degrees in Physics (2022–2026) and Mathematics (2023–2026). In October 2026 I am starting the M.Sc. in Mathematics at the University of Münster.

My interests sit at the intersection of topology, algebra, and mathematical physics: topological quantum field theories, category theory, and the geometry of hyperbolic 3-manifolds and Kleinian groups. Alongside research I care about building mathematical community — organizing meetings, mentoring students, and making abstract mathematics accessible.

This website collects my academic work, the events I help organize, my bookshelf, a blog, and course roadmaps meant to guide undergraduates who wish to follow a similar path.
